Frequently Asked Questions:
When will my order ship?
- Each product we sell will have a lead time published on the product page and in your order confirmation. If it does not have a lead time, then the item is in stock or can be made quickly in 1-2 days.
- The lead time is the time it takes from order to completion, not including shipping time. We do our best to maintain accurate lead times and hit or beat that on each order. They are estimates, however, not guarantees.
- You will receive a tracking number by email if you selected a shipping option.
- You will receive a notification if you’re local pickup item is ready to pickup.
- We are working on our production software to add more fine-tuned dates to this tool.
What does my production status mean?
Our manufacturing process typically flows in order of the steps below. Some projects will skip many of the steps, and some may move back and forth or be in multiple steps at once.
- Job Accepted – Incoming Order
- We’ve received your e-commerce order or accepted quote. If you accepted a manual quote and not on credit terms, we may be awaiting your invoice payment to proceed.
- Creating Design & Drawings
- We are working on customize the design of your product and/or creating our CAD models and construction drawings. If you ordered a fuel tank, you will be receiving an email soon to review your first construction drawing.
- Drawing Revisions:
- We have sent you the first drawing by email and are now awaiting your response or updating the drawing with your changes.
- Material/Parts Ordering, Final Drawing:
- We are quickly ordering any material or parts that are not usually in stock so they arrive by the time all machined and formed parts are ready for welding. We are also producing the final construction drawing for our fabricators and machinists.
- Up Next for Production:
- Your project is temporarily in queue to start. Most projects skip this step, but we may be waiting on your boat to be delivered or planning our time window to start.
- CNC Machining:
- Parts that need machining (e.g., plates for fuel tanks and hatches) are in queue for cutting.
- Press Brake:
- CNC parts are complete and your project is now in queue for press brake forming.
- Fabrication/Welding
- The individual components have been machined, formed, and detailed and our now in the hands of our skilled fabricators and welders to put together the finished product.
- Powder Coating
- Your project is now being powder coated with our local partner. Powder coating typically takes about 1 week to complete.
- Assembly and Testing
- Your project is being assembled. If it’s a fuel tank, we are installing fittings and pressure testing at this stage.
- Preparing for Shipping/Ready for Pickup
- We are preparing and packaging your item for ground or freight shipping. You will get a tracking number by email when it is picked up by the carrier. If you selected local pickup, we will reach out to you and arrange a pickup time.
