Pipe Style Rod Holder Rocket Launcher

Aluminum rod holder rocket launchers for installation on boat transoms, leaning posts or tool boxes and truck bed walls. Choose bare aluminum, anodized, or powder coating as well as options for number of rod holders and mounting orientation.

Rod Holders

Choose standard 8.5″ flared rod holders with liners, heavy duty 10″ offshore rod holders, or spinning rod holders.

Recommended spacing:

• 4-6″ for spinning rods
• 8-9″ for flared 8.5 rod holders
• 8-10″ for HD offshore 10″ rod holders

The rod holders are tilted aft 15 degrees. You can customize the angles if want to offset one or multiple rod holders. Just make a note in the customization field.

The rod holder spacing is calculated based on the length you input, assuming the first and last rod holder to be joined right at the end of the bend – start of the straight section.

Dimensions:

Rocket launchers are made from 1-1/4″ sch 40 pipe. The length you order is reference from the pipe centerline, so please allow an extra 2″ on either side for the pads.

The clearance of the vertical surface mounted rod holder is about 9″ from the pad bottom to the outside of the rod holder.

The pads are 4″ in diameter with 4x countersunk holes for 1/4″ fasteners.

Mounting Orientation

Standard rocket launchers are designed to mount on the vertical surface of your transom, leaning post, or truck toolbox.

We also build them as a deck mount to install on a flat horizontal surface. The deck mounted version can have optional cupholders.

Fasteners:

Fasteners are not included. The countersunk holes are designed for 1/4″-20 machine screws or #14 oval head sheet metal/wood screws.

Center Support Leg:

We can add a center support leg with a 3rd mounting pad for longer rocket launchers (recommended over 72″)

Finish:

We can use bare (mill finish) aluminum pipe, anodized (polished), or have it powder coated. See this link for information about aluminum coatings.
