Rod Holder Backrest for Leaning Posts

Custom aluminum backrest rail for installation on leaning posts. Choose bare aluminum, anodized, or powder coating as well as options for number of rod holders and upholstery.

Rod Holders

Standard 8.5″ flared rod holders with liners. We can also use spinning rod holders. We use a minimum 6″ spacing on the rod holders, so you can fit 6 rod holders on a 36″ rail, 5 on a 30″, etc. We can accommodate custom rod holder spacing and arrangements.

Dimensions:

Rails are made from 1-1/4″ sch 40 pipe. The standard dimensions are 36″ or 30″ wide and 20″ tall measured from center of pipe. Please allow an extra 2″ on either side for the 4″ diameter pads. The backrest leans aft at 10 degrees and the rod holders lean an additional 5 degrees for a 15 degree total.

Upholstery:

Upholstered white cushions with marine grade fabric available for leaning post seats and backrests. Backrest cushions are 9” tall and matched to the length of the backrest pipework.

Alternatively, we can install an aluminum backer plate or aluminum ears to attach your own upholstery to.

Finish:

We can use bare (mill finish) aluminum pipe, anodized (polished), or powder coat. See this link for information about aluminum coatings.

Cup Holders

We can include cupholder welded rings with stainless steel cup holder inserts.
