Skiff Grab Bar

Aluminum skiff grab bars with optional electronics box for switch panels and GPS mounts. Customize by choosing your size, configuration, and add-ons below.

Electronics Box:

Add a 4″x4″ electronics box to your grab bar. The bottom of the box is removable for electrical rigging and a watertight bulkhead connector is provided for the wiring to exit the side of the E-box.

Cutouts for rocker switch installation can be made for easy installation. Include instructions below custom cutouts and templating for GPS installation.

Dimensions:

Skiff grab bars are made from 1″ sch 40 pipe. The standard grab bar dimensions are 12″ wide by 36″ tall measured on the pipe centers.

The option with 1 forward leg will also be 12″ wide. The option with 2 forward legs will be 18″ wide with room for a small cooler.

Fasteners:

Optional fasteners can be included in your order. All fasteners are 316 Stainless Steel. Choose self-tapping #1 screws or 1/4-20 machine screws (includes washers, nuts, and backing plate ). Grab bars are built with 4″ round mounting pads with countersunk holes in each pad.

Rod Holders and Cupholders:

Optional rod holders for the side of the grab bar. Put it in your order notes where you want these, otherwise the rod holder will go in the lower port side and cupholder on upper starboard side facing driver.

Forward Legs:

We can install forward legs on your grab bar. The forward legs are a nice place to strap down a cooler or small jump seat and add stability to the installation.

The single leg option will have 1 additional leg and use the same width 12″ grab bar without legs.

The double leg option will have 2 legs and the grab bar will be widened to 18″ on pipe center to accommodate a normal 40-60 qt cooler.

Electronics Box

The electronics box is a formed 4.5″x3″ box with removable bottom hatch and rubber grommet seal for running wires into the box. We offer 2 configurations of the box: no switch cutouts and the other with 4 rocker switch cutouts and one opening for a round USB/cigarette outlet. Switch cutouts will be shipped with blank plugs (switches not included, sold separately).

Finish

Choose bare aluminum, powder coating, or anodized.
Note – the e-box cannot be anodized. Powder coating adds 1-2 weeks to lead time.

Forward Cooler Legs

We can add a pair of forward legs. People will use this location to strap down a cooler or small jump seat. It also provides stability for the grab rail. This includes the additional shipping price for the larger box or freight.

The single leg option will use the same 12″ wide frame without the forward leg. The double leg option will be widened to 18″.

Note: if your item is going to be shipped, we install these with coupler fittings to assist in shipping costs, otherwise the box would be huge and mostly empty.

Rod Holders

We can add rod holders to one or both sides. Rod holders include liners. The first rod holder will go on the lower port side and the 2nd on starboard, unless you include alternate instructions below.

Cupholders

Choose cupholders. These are welded aluminum rings with stainless cupholder inserts. Fits tumblers!

Fasteners

The grab bars have 4″ round mounting pads with 4 countersunk holes for #14 or 1/4″ fasteners. Do you want 316 stainless fasteners included in your order?

Customization Notes

Enter the details of your customization notes. For example, rod holder or cupholder locations, flared or spinning rod holder, dimensions of your ice chest, switch layout, etc.
