Leadtime, Shipping, & Returns

Lead Times

Most products by Halk Marine are built to order and quality takes time. We offer so much customization on our items that it’s not possible to keep every variation in stock at all times. It’s important that you keep a reasonable expectation for delivery times with customizable products.

If you’re ordering simple parts without any customization options, then it will likely be in stock and ready to ship immediately.

If your product requires drawing review, such as for custom fuel tanks, it’s important that you respond to drawing revisions and email communication promptly to keep your project on schedule.

Current lead times are published on each individual item next to the add to cart button. These are estimates, not guaranteed ship dates, and can fluctuate depending on order volume. We do our best to keep them up to date and hit or beat our lead times.

If you don’t see a lead time, then the product is in stock or can be assembled quickly for immediate shipment.

Powder Coating

Powder coated items are built and delivered as quickly as we can to our local powder coaters for finishing. Please allow 1-2 weeks extra for powder coated items.

Special Orders
Special Order items are custom products we are building for your specific project outside of what is normally available on the website. The lead time on this will vary based on complexity of the project. With these projects, there is clear and constant communication on status and lead time. Expedited engineering and shipping is sometimes available upon request.

Shipping Policy

When shipping costs are applied, we work hard to consistently refine our shipping settings and give customers shipping rates that mirror our true shipping costs as closely as possible. We do not view shipping as a profit center!

  • USPS First Class Mail
  • USPS Priority Mail
  • Freight shipping (best carrier)

International Shipping Methods:

  • UPS International
  • USPS International
  • International freight shipping (best carrier)
  • We can internationally ship custom fuel tanks, but our website will not calculate international LTL freight. Use our instant fuel tank pricing, then contact us for a freight quote when you are ready to order.
  • The customer will be responsible for all import duties and taxes.

Return Policy

We understand that sometimes a product just is not what you were expecting or simply will not work for your application. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a product, return it within 30 days for a no hassle exchange or return.

Return Requirements:

  • Items must be in new condition.
  • Returns are not accepted on any custom engraved, custom powder coated, customized dimensions, or cut lengths of material unless item arrives incorrectly made, damaged or otherwise incorrect due to our error.
  • Shipping costs and credit card processing fees will not be refunded unless the return is due to our error.
  • Return shipping is paid by customer unless item arrives incorrect, damaged or otherwise incorrect due to our error.
  • Returned items must be received by Halk Marine within 14 days of receiving notification of your intent to return.

Return Process:

  1. Please confirm your item is returnable by communicating with us by email.
  2. Please ship the merchandise in appropriate packaging and protective wrapping.
  3. You refund will be processed within 5 business days of receipt of returned products.

Cancelled Orders

  • If you complete your purchase on the website and decide to cancel your order, the credit card processing fee of 3% that we absorb on every transaction will not be refunded.
  • If you decide to cancel the order while work is in progress on a customized product, your refund will be reduced proportional to degree of completion of the product.
