These valves are for use on fuel tanks to comply with the CARB and EPA standards and meet the requirements of USCG Safety Standards.

Tank vent valves are designed to direct vapors generated during the diurnal cycle (daytime/nighttime expansion and contraction of fuel due to temperature changes). Vent lines from TVVs generally run to carbon canisters. Properly installed, TVVs help protect canisters from liquid fuel.

The double barb part includes 2 hose barbs: 5/8″ and 5/16″. The 5/16″ barb connects to another tank vent valve (typically bow & stern for long tanks), while the 5/8″ barb connects to the carbon canister. This allows proper venting during varying trim.

Perko’s TVVs are sometimes referred to as rollover valves (since they offer rollover protection) and as grade vent valves. They also include a over-pressure relief feature.

Machined 6061 aluminum body with yellow polymer valve. Threaded valves mount with a 1″ NPTF thread.
