How to Order:

  1. Confirm that your old tank dimensions match our drawing and specifications.
  2. Complete the purchase online. Freight or ground shipping will be automatically calculated when you enter your address in the cart or checkout pages.
  3. After your completed purchase, we will send a detailed dimensional drawing for you to review and approve before we send the tank to production.

Standard on all tanks:

  • Pickup tubes with 3/8″ NPT pickup ports and 3/8″ hose barbs.
  • Vent fitting with 5/8″ hose barb
  • Fill fitting with 1.5″ hose barb.
  • KUS reed-style sending Unit (5-bolt SAE standard, 1.5″ FNPT optional)
  • Mounting tabs and lifting eyes per your specification.
  • Tab for tank bonding/grounding wire.
  • Construction and testing per ABYC/USCG requirements
  • Internal baffling

The fuel tanks in our replacement tank database have been reverse engineered from a combination of customer provided drawings and measurements, direct dimensional takeoffs of the original tanks, and original OEM drawings. While we can 100% fully guarantee that the tank you receive will exactly match the drawing you approve, we can’t guarantee that the source of the dimensions are 100% accurate for your particular boat, even if it matches the year/make/model. There are thousands of various boat models produced in past few decades in relatively low quantities, so we operate with a highly customizable and flexible production model. Please keep in the mind the following:

  • The original customer measurements may not have been accurate or  intentionally modified to change capacity or improve installation.
  • The original OEM drawing may have errors or not correspond accurately the correct year/make/model.
  • The boat manufacturer may have modified the fuel tank design for the same boat year/make/model at anytime throughout their production.
  • It is not uncommon to see tank measurements from the exact same year/make/model vary by +/- 0.5 to 1″ for no observable reason other than perhaps less advanced manufacturing techniques and quality control.

It is the customer’s responsibility to physically measure their original tank to verify it matches our detailed drawing (sent after purchase!), or physically measure their tank installation space, to confirm that the tank on the drawing will work for their situation.

We strongly recommend that you pull your tank, measure it, and observe the installation situation before completing your order. You may uncover that you need useful modifications like shaving dimensions or moving fittings and mounting brackets for optimal installation, or you may find that you can increase capacity by increasing one or more dimensions. We will allow reasonable modifications to all tank order without additional charge, especially when it improves our knowledge base for future customers.

If you choose to order the tank without following the above advise, or have other reason to be certain the dimensions will be correct, you are doing so at your own risk. We will not accept returns or exchanges on tank fitment issues if the tank you receive matches the drawing you approved.

Shipping Information

The shipping options and cost will be displayed in the cart and checkout screen when you add the tanks to your cart.

You have the option to select LTL Freight, UPS Ground, or Local Pickup. The shipping options and price are accurately calculated to include the shipment(s) dimensions, weight, and your location.

Read more about each option below:

LTL Freight means your item will ship on a pallet and delivered via large truck.

Freight shipping is calculated based on your shipping address and the size/weight of the tank. Freight shipping on a pallet is always safest shipping method for the tank to arrive undamaged.

Locations for freight shipping

  • Commercial address:
    • Typically zoned as commercial or industrial real estate, with reasonable tractor-trailer access and a loading dock or a forklift. Commercial addresses are assumed to be open for business daily during regular hours, and do not require liftgate or appointment services. This is the lowest cost location.
  • Terminal Pickup:
    • The cart and checkout page will display an option for pickup at the closest carrier terminal to you, with an address and distance. When the shipment arrives at the terminal, you will be notified to arrange pickup. Terminal pickup is also the lowest cost option.
  • Limited Access or Residential:
    • Residential – Residential addresses are automatically detected in the checkout page. These deliveries require an appointment delivery, liftgate service, and often transfer to a smaller box truck.
    • Limited Access or non-commercial includes Marinas, Yacht Clubs, Camps, Churches, Construction Sites, Convents, Country Clubs, Estates, Golf Courses, Farms, Military bases, Mini-storage warehouses, Nursing homes, Prisons, Rectory or Schools, and other such locations.
    • Residential and limited access both add about $200 to the shipping cost of LTL freight.

LTL Freight Add-ons

  • Liftgate – select this option your commercial address is not equipped with a loading dock. It is automatically included in residential and limited access deliveries.
  • Shipments 96″ OR LONGER: a length dimension of 96″ or greater incurs an oversize surcharge on LTL shipping. If your item length can be reduced to 95″, you’ll save a lot of money on shipping.

Ocean vs Air Freight and International Freight

Yes, we can send your freight shipment to Hawaii, Alaska, and internationally. The rates presented will be ocean-going routes, which typically add 2-3 weeks to normal transit time.

We can get air freight rates as an optional upgrade to your order, but they must be requested manually one at a time to the carrier. These are called “spot quotes”. Let us know if you want to know the cost difference between ocean and air freight.

Final Words

We work hard to ensure that shipping costs are reconciled with the customer to guarantee a fair and precise charge. Should the actual cost be lower than what you’ve paid, a refund for the difference in shipping will be issued. Conversely, if the payment falls short, we will notify you and issue an invoice for the extra amount during the tank design phase. Our freight calculator is typically very accurate, making such adjustments infrequent.

UPS Ground Delivery.

If the shipment is small enough, a UPS Ground rate may be presented.

A word of caution:

  • Despite our best packaging efforts, UPS and other ground carriers are notoriously hard on heavy and larger packages. If you are presented with both UPS and LTL freight options, consider the value in using LTL Freight to ensure you custom tank arrives safely and on time.

You also have the option to pickup your item at our manufacturing facility located in Covington, LA.

Local pickups will be charged sales tax at our physical location in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana (9.25%) and you will be notified by email and phone when your item is complete and ready for pickup.
